Rs 800,000 for Muhammad Asif, Literacy Mobilizer

Lahore: Minister for Literacy & Non Formal Basic Education, Govt. of Punjab Raja Rashid Hafeez today on dated 29/05/2019 presented a cheque amounting to Rs. 800,000/- to Mr. Fateh Muhammad, the father of Mr. Muhammad Asif, Literacy Mobilizer, Attock who met an accident during performing his field duty and passed away at the spot. Chief Minister, Punjab approved the financial assistance.

The Minister for Literacy & NFBE expressed his condolence to the father of deceased Literacy Mobilizer and said that this assistance was not a substitute of the deceased but just a financial support to the family. Provincial Minister further expressed that the deceased was a hard working official who, despite all odds of the poverty and belonging to a backward rural area, secured graduate degree. It was his devotion which propelled him to join Taleem Sab Kay Liye Project, Literacy & Non Formal Basic Education Department and work for provision of Literacy & basic education to deprived and marginalized segments of population. He sacrificed his life for the cause of education of the poorest of the poor in remote areas and indeed he is a martyr and a pride for the Department. He also prayed for his eternal life. Secretary, Literacy & NFBE Department, Mr. Salman Ijaz, also shared that brother of the martyr will be considered for appointment in the forthcoming recruitment. The father of the deceased Literacy Mobilizer appreciated the generous efforts and goodwill gesture of Govt. of Punjab for his family.
