Harmonyamong political forces need of hour: Masood

Rawalakot: Azad Jammu andKashmir President Sardar Masood Khan has stressed that unity, tolerance andharmony among all political parties is needed at this delicate juncture of theongoing struggle for the liberation of held territory from the Indian shackles.
“We can succeed in achieving our nationalobjectives only by providing harmony among various tribes, clans and communitiesin Azad Kashmir,” he asserted.
The AJK president was talking todelegations from different union council including Bangoin, Jandala and HornaMera who called on him at Rawalakot Circuit House here. The delegations wereled by PML-N President Constituency LA-04 Sardar Ashiq Hussain and MaulanaAbdur Rauf.
Sardar Masood Khan said that Indianforces had intensified repressions in occupied Kashmir since Narendra Modi hasbeen re-elected as prime minister of India. “The pro-freedom leadersincluding Yasin Malik, Asiya Andrabi, Naida Ansari, Fehmida Soofi and ShabbirShah have been detained in the notorious Tihar Jail in Delhi in the worstconditions, while Mirwaiz Omar Farooq and Syed Ali Gilani have also been underdetention,” he lamented.
In this state of affairs, he underlinedthat the responsibilities of the political leadership of Azad Kashmir increasemanifold. He stressed that instead of indulging in leg pulling of each other,our political leaders need to demonstrate complete unity in their rank andfile to vigorously carry forward the liberation movement.
He said that theAJK government was paying special attention to the improvement ofinfrastructure in the liberated territory, particularly the construction of roadsand promotion of health, education, tourism, industrial and agriculturesectors and the dividends of various projects will reach the masses shortly.
He maintained that promotion oftourism was on the top of the list of the priorities of the state government.”The government’s vision is to promote tourism in all beautiful areas ofthe liberated territory including Poonch division and to provide maximum jobopportunities to the educated youth,” he added.
